Orientation on NEASC Accreditation

As part of its plan towards making all faculty, administrators, and staff aware of the importance of American accreditation and the steps to be taken to meet NEASC Standards for Accreditation, AUM has recently launched an orientation program directed towards all faculty, administrators, and staff on the process and requirements of accreditation. The first session, which was attended by the President and some deans, was held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 for administrators and staff. At that session, Prof. Reed Phillips, a former president of an American university, talked about the importance of accreditation for AUM and briefly about his experience with accreditation in the U.S.; Eng. Majdi Dayyat explained the steps to be taken in preparation for submitting the documents needed for accreditation, focusing on the Self Study and Data Forms; and, finally, Prof. Issam Abu-Salim reviewed NEASC Standards for Accreditation and the requirements of each standard.
