Monday, 19 June 2017 | Madaba, Jordan
On the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the American University of Madaba held its annual Iftar at the university campus this evening. Attending the annual event were representatives of government and civil sectors, community elders, clerics, deputies and senators of Madaba as well as news agencies, journalists and staff members. The honored guests were received by AUM President Dr. Nabil Ayoub and by administrative and academic staff.
The Maghreb prayer was played on loudspeakers announcing the break of the fast and an area for prayer was also prepared for those who wanted to pray.
This annual initiative affirms AUM’s closeness and openness with the local community. It is also an embodiment of the University's vision and goals through which it expresses a shared belief that the AUM community can move forward in serving humanitarian and religious issues that unite us.
