Welcome by the dean

Dear AUMers,

Your world is not like ours was.
It’s faster, louder, and infinitely transforming,  not just changing, but becoming change itself.

In this world, the question is no longer how to think about your future, but how fast you can turn thought into action. Future thinking matters, yes,  but today, future speed defines success.

The skills you need aren’t written in any manual. They evolve as quickly as you do. What truly matters now is your ability to learn, unlearn, relearn, and to remain steady when everything else is in motion.

Change is no longer an adjective describing your world,  it’s the state of your world.
And those who can thrive in this living state of flux,  who stay curious, kind, and courageous, will not only keep up with the future; they’ll design it.

As I step into this Deanship, I do so with a team of passionate and capable individuals who share one purpose: to help you self-actualize and become your most productive, purposeful self.
Together, we will build vibrant student communities where you can find your voice, co-create solutions, and turn creative ideas into living prototypes. These are spaces where you don’t just dream, you take action.

AUM will be your launchpad: a place where you test bold ideas, shape your own pathways, and bring your generation’s imagination to life.
Let’s transform curiosity into creativity, creativity into action, and action into meaningful impact.

Welcome to the journey.  Let’s make AUM the place where the future begins:  one idea, one spark, one brave step at a time.

With pride, purpose, and absolute belief in you all,

Message from the Team of the Deanship of Student Affairs

Welcome to the American University of Madaba (AUM); whether you are just beginning your journey or continuing to grow with us, we are truly delighted to have you as part of our community.

At the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA), we believe that university life is much more than lectures and classrooms. It is a space for discovery, belonging, and transformation, where every student is encouraged to learn, lead, and live fully. Our mission is to bring out the best in you by cultivating a vibrant campus life that inspires creativity, leadership, and a strong sense of community.

We are here to make your AUM experience memorable, meaningful, and lasting, one that you will proudly carry with you wherever you go, now and after graduation. Our role extends beyond support and guidance; we aim to create opportunities for engagement, growth, and self-actualization through holistic learning experiences.

To achieve this, we have designed ten dynamic Student Communities that reflect your diverse interests and passions, from arts, design, and sports to innovation, civic engagement, and global dialogue.
