المهندس عزام شويحات رئيس مجلس أمناء الجامعة الأميركية في مادبا يعلن رسميا تعيين الدكتور الاستاذ عدي عريضة رئيسًا للجامعة لمدة أربع سنوات

أعلن رئيس مجلس أمناء الجامعة الأميركية في مادبا، المهندس عزام شويحات، صدور قرار مجلس التعليم العالي بالموافقة على تعيين الأستاذ الدكتور عدي عصام عريضة رئيساً للجامعة لمدة أربع سنوات، اعتباراً من 11 ايار 2026، وذلك بناءً على تنسيب مجلس الأمناء.

جاء القرار خلال الجلسة التي عقدها مجلس التعليم اليوم الاثنين برئاسة معالي وزير التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي الأستاذ الدكتور عزمي محافظة.وبهذه المناسبة، تعرب اسرة الجامعة عن خالص تهانيها وتقديرها للأستاذ رئيس الجامعة، متمنيه له دوام التوفيق والسداد في مهامه. كما يؤكد مجلس الأمناء استمرار دعمه لجهود التطوير المؤسسي، ومواصلة تنفيذ الخطط الاستراتيجية بما ينسجم مع رسالته الجامعة ويعزز دورها كمؤسسة أكاديمية رائدة تسهم في خدمة الوطن في ظل القيادة الهاشمية بقيادة جلالة الملك عبد الله الثاني ابن الحسين المعظم، حفظه الله ورعاه مثمّنين في الوقت ذاته دعم البطريركية اللاتينية في القدس، لمسيرة الجامعة التعليمية والإنسانية.

The Board of Trustees of the American University of Madaba (AUM), chaired by Engineer Azzam Shweihat, is pleased to announce that the Higher Education Council has approved the appointment of Professor Adi Issam Arida as President of the University for a four-year term, effective 11 May 2026.

The appointment was approved upon the recommendation of the Board of Trustees and formally endorsed during the Higher Education Council session held on Monday, chaired by His Excellency Professor Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

On this occasion, the AUM community extends its sincere congratulations to Professor Dr. Arida, expressing full confidence in his leadership and vision for the University’s future. The University looks forward to advancing under his guidance in the areas of academic excellence, innovation, institutional development, and community engagement.

The Board of Trustees reaffirms its continued commitment to supporting the University’s strategic growth and strengthening AUM’s role as a pioneering institution of higher education serving Jordan and the wider region under the wise Hashemite leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein.

The Board also expresses its deep appreciation to the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem for its longstanding support of the University’s educational and humanitarian mission.
