The American University of Madaba (AUM) is proud to highlight the participation of our student, Saeed Al Sagherji in the IEEE Jordan Conference on Applied Electrical Engineering and Computing Technologies (AEECT 2026), held from July 28–30, 2026.

Saeed presented his research paper entitled:

“Early Student Dropout Prediction Using Machine Learning”

The research was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Mohammad Abbadi and Dr. Rania Alhalaseh.

The paper explores the application of Machine Learning techniques to predict students who may be at risk of dropping out, demonstrating the potential of Artificial Intelligence and data-driven approaches to support early intervention and improve student success.

Accepted papers from the conference will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted for consideration for inclusion in IEEE Xplore.

We are extremely proud of Saeed for this significant academic achievement. Presenting research at an international IEEE conference represents an important milestone in his academic journey and marks a promising first step toward continuing and further developing this research.
