AUM Welcomes Arab Thought Forum to Launch Strategic Collaboration for Knowledge and Youth Empowerment
The American University of Madaba welcomed on Thursday, May 7, Dr. Sadiq Al-Faqih, Secretary-General of the Arab Thought Forum, accompanied by Professor Amani Jarrar and Mr. Munther Khawaldeh, in a visit that marks the beginning of a promising collaboration between the Arab Thought Forum and AUM.
The delegation was warmly received by the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, Eng. Azzam Shweihat, Interim President Professor Adi Arida, and Dean of Student Affairs Professor Wafa Alkhadra, who affirmed the university’s commitment to building impactful partnerships that advance knowledge, dialogue, and societal development.
The meeting reflected a shared vision for collaboration across multiple levels, including knowledge production, research, policy dialogue, student engagement, and intellectual exchange around key developmental and societal issues facing the region. Discussions also explored creating dynamic platforms that foster critical thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful intellectual cross-pollination between academia and public thought.
