From AUM to International Research Excellence
The American University of Madaba proudly celebrates the remarkable achievements of alumna Jumana Hussary, whose academic journey reflects excellence, dedication, and global impact.
A graduate of AUM’s Civil Engineering program, Jumana ranked first in both the University and the Engineering Department in 2017. Driven by a passion for geotechnical engineering and research, she went on to pursue her Master’s and PhD in Japan, further advancing her academic and professional distinction.
Today, Jumana serves as a Research Assistant Professor at Kyushu University, where her research focuses on unsaturated soils and CO₂ sequestration in construction materials. Her work contributes to enhancing infrastructure safety, reducing environmental impact, and addressing pressing global challenges related to climate change and desertification.
Jumana’s accomplishments stand as a testament to the strength of an AUM education and to the university’s commitment to nurturing graduates who lead with knowledge, purpose, and innovation. Her journey continues to inspire future generations of students to pursue excellence and make meaningful contributions to society
