Ra7alah: Walking Jordan with Knowledge, Skill, and Belonging
Students of the Ra7alah Community at the American University of Madaba have begun their journey toward the Bronze Award of the El Hassan Youth Award, through a pathway that brings together safe hiking skills on the Jordan Trail, leadership, teamwork, service to local communities, and respect for nature and biodiversity.
The program also draws its identity from the legacy of Muslim travellers, including Ibn Battuta, who transformed travel into a form of knowledge, documentation, and responsible engagement with people and places.
Our sincere thanks and appreciation to the El Hassan Youth Award for this valuable partnership, and our best wishes to our students on a journey that begins with a single step and grows into deeper awareness and belonging.
