Students from the Faculty of Languages and Communication at AUM Participated in the Annual “Jordanian Universities Short Story Competition"
Princess Alia Al-Taba’a, students from the Faculty of Languages and Communication at the American University of Madaba participated in the annual “Jordanian Universities Short Story Competition,” hosted by Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan. This year’s theme was “An Imagined Vision of the End of the Third Millennium.”
Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Majali, President of the University, honored the winning and participating students. The Jury Prize was awarded to student Jana Kasaji for her story “A Single Image of Extinction.” Student Risan Taim was recognized for her story “A Friend Made of Rusty Metal Pieces,” and student Najah Al-Zaghoul for her story “Disappearance.”
The stories submitted to the competition were the outcome of the Creative Writing Workshop conducted by Professor Dr. Shahla Ujayli, Professor of Modern Arabic Literature and Cultural Studies at the University.
